Pursuant to the notice issued by the Copyright Royalty Board and published at 87 Fed. Reg. 490 (Jan. 5, 2022), Mood Media Corporation (“Mood Media”) hereby submits a petition to participate in the proceeding entitled Business Establishments IV, Docket No. 21–CRB–0013–BER (2024–2028). Mood Media, a provider of background and foreground music to business establishments including through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, has a significant interest in the subject matter of this proceeding because it provides music services to business establishments pursuant to the statutory license set forth in 17 U.S.C. § 112(e)(1) for exempt transmissions made pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 114(d)(1)(C)(iv), and it expects to be subject to the rates and terms established in this proceeding.
