Statement of significant interest
SYB provides business establishment services to customers across the United States and makes ephemeral copies of sound recordings for purposes of transmitting performances of sound recordings to business establishments pursuant to the limitations of Section 114(d)(1)(c)(iv). In addition, SYB is a party to numerous voluntary license agreements with copyright owners of sound recordings which incorporate limitations of Section 114(d)(1)(c)(iv). Accordingly, SYB anticipates that it will be subject to the rates and/or terms set by the Judges in this proceeding for the 2024-2028 license period and thus has a significant interest in the subject matter of the proceeding.
