American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) member companies are copyright owners who make significant investments in the creation of music, and whose income and profits are dependent upon the rates set by the Copyright Royalty Board in this proceeding. A2IM members range in size from small to medium enterprises and rely upon A2IM to jointly represent their interests in this proceeding. A2IM member companies make substantial royalty payments tied to mechanical licenses in the course of creating sound recordings. A2IM has been a participant in prior CRB proceedings.
